Description: Really enjoyed the Seaplanes, Trains and Bar-B-Q put on by the City of Tavares. There were 12 seaplanes including four Searays when I arrived at 1300. Due to the intense heat of this day, many of the Seareys were prepping for departure. Having been born and raised in the Florida Heat, The Fy-N-Fish and I were not phased by the level of solar radiation.

This was a great event and the Bar-B-Q was excellent. When you arrived by aircraft, they gave you a ticket for a complete meal and it was great! It is rare to see a local Government embracing seaplanes, so I think we should support them anyway we can. They have filed the paper to make this park a seaplane base. The public was very interested and really liked the low passes by the dock. More pictures are located at: http://picasaweb.google.com/Flyrod01/SeaplanesTrainsAndBarBQ

It's nice to see a man who goes out to sea for long periods of time knows what to photo when he gets back on dry land, thanks for the pictures!

Thanks for the pix, Robert. Tavares might not appreciate the extra r in the name, but heck, they'll get over it!

I wish I could've been there. Soon come, mon.

Dave, I am still trying to make up for the shots Dan and I missed at Gator Joe's. If you knew what we failed to record, you would be very upset.

Jim, Thanks for the correction. It was a very nice event and the food was excellent!
