Description:
C-FPTQ sprouts legs as John, Dennis, and Don trouble shoot a hydraulic gear problem. Gerhard and I are strategically located away from the action.
The day before John had given me a briefing on PTQ, and said that I 'didn't need to worry about the gear', as I would be operating only on the water. Well PTQ was working so well, so why not. Sure went down easily !
Got some attention on the ground when I travelled over the beach with the gear down and lights ON.
John was now interested in my situation. In the end I landed over at Parry Sound Airport, 2 miles to the north of Silver Lake. Expect more details on STS.
Nevertheless it was a great honour to fly John's best flying creation (next to his C-FJIB). It does fly well and the AV map and D180 work great.
