Description: Cruising the shoreline on a late summer afternoon was just fine, especially knowing there were some poor slobs slaving away high up in the corporate towers. Who has a better job than flying a SeaRey?

    Hi Dan:<br /><br />It looks familiar. (g)<br /><br />A couple of weeks ago, I sailed the Chicago-Mackinaw race on board my son Larry's 27 foot 'home-built' trimaran. Larry's boat was probably the smallest (27 foot long) boat in the 440 ship fleet and certainly the least expensive. The starting line for this race was less than a mile from where you took this picture.<br /><br />It was an interesting race..... 50 plus hours for us (including two days and two nights of serious fog). At times we had quite strong winds during the foggy nights......a bit 'spooky'. Despite the large fleet, we rarely saw other boats. <br /><br />We finished 53 overall and 2nd in the multihull division..... not bad for a 'homebuilt' boat. (g) <br /><br />Best,<br />Larry
