Description:
Some nostalgia in the Edward household this past weekend. I dug out some pictures of Casey's great granpa and we went through his career.
Started flying in 1927and retired in 1970 with 21,225 hrs. He flew :
Curtis JN 4...D/H Moth
Curtis Reid Rambler/Robin & Courier and a whole bunch of other oldies.
Bellanca Pacemaker...Stinson Reliant...Lockheed Vega...and the thrill of a lifetime..a check out on a Lockheed F-104.
In the airline...Lockheed Vega...Lockheed 10...12...14..18 and Connies.
Vickers Viscount ( I flew two trips with him as his F/O )
Douglas DC-3..DC-4..DC-7 and DC-8, his retirement airplane.
He also flew the Bristol Freighter but was embarressed to be seen near it.

What a great photo, Dave! I'd love to be embarrassed about flying a Bristol Freighter. It is so homely, it's cool.
