Description: I got a call from a Check Pilot on Aug. 9th 2001. Robbie Robinson ( middle ) said ' hey Dave, thought you might want to know that I'm giving Greg his final Captains ride tomorrow. He'll be promoted and operate back to Toronto..as Capt..on the 11th.' I organized Juli...Greg's wife, and Lynn and me to fly to NY on the 10th., check into the crew L/O hotel and try to surprise # 2 son and share in this milestone. We all went out for dinner to an Irish pub ( very fitting as Greg had been born in Dublin in '63 ) and Robbie presented Greg with his grandfather's wings.
