Description: There is an old Nickens legend of underground pillars supporting the ground we walk upon, built by the ancient ones when land was first formed. When you dig down and strike hard ground, you have the ancestors to thank for it. Dig too deep, and the land will collapse into a giant sinkhole. There was clear evidence of this along the coast south of Queets.
