Cheryl and I decided to take a quick drive up to check out the Lima Fly In.
With my Searey engine out of commission, driving was the only choice.

We arrived Sunday afternoon and already had missed a bit.
I missed Dennis and Lee, but John and Euclid Phil, and Rick were still there.

Charlie and Keven would arrivee the next day.

In this picture Dave is demonstrating his landing technique, but he has his hands reversed - he has his left hand on the bottle and the right hand on the click (er).

Attachments:

Monday Rick came by with his Sportsman.
I thought he would be there all day and missed my chance to get a ride!

Good thing Kevin showed up and put the 'Fly' in fly-in!

Thanks for the rides, Kevin, and especially for showing Cheryl what its like to land on water! Attachments:

With poor weather and a muddy taxiway to the runway, there was not a whole lot of flying done, but plenty of partying. Dave has already shown some of those photos.

We had a blast and enjoyed meeting new Splash and Dashers.
Thanks, Dave and Martha, for your great hospitality!

This was my first time in Canada and we saw some interesting things on the way home.

These three pictures show some of them: Attachments:

That's no pace car, Tony. It's the latest military design for beating IEDs.....just get up so high it doesn't matter!

Hm. The water runway seems to have some twists and turns. Was Dave blitzed when he built it?

I asked Dave why didn't he make the water runway straight but you know Dave - always for a challenge
