Description: How can you collect enough salt to say “when it rains, it pours”? With a backhoe.

The United States Geological Survey estimates that the basin holds between 4.5 and 5 billion tons of salt, with an average of over 2 million tons added annually. Morton takes about 2.5 million tons out every year.

Hopefully the salt will hold out for as long as the margarita mix does.
