Description: Just south of the Great Salt Lake is the fully fresh Utah Lake. It is fresh because water drains from it into the salt lake.

After landing at Provo, I asked the line guy why the Mormons settled at Salt Lake instead of Utah Lake. “Because no one else lived there. This place was occupied by Native Americans.”

Makes sense to me.
