Description:
The right wheel served as a dock fender and two lines, one to each outer strut, served to triangulate the Searey keeping the tail away from the dock. At high water the ramp is Searey suitable, but while I was confident of powering up to the parking lot, I was not comfortable with the thought of a brake failure halfway down the ramp to the water. I would likely have gotten airborne before the water! Nice campsites with water and electric, a general store, potties, (no showers) and MOGAS. Even though it was midgrade 89 octane the 100LL that was still in the Aussie tank from our fuel stop at Winnemucca, NV averaged out to above the required 91 octane.
