Description: This was a typical morning @ Turtle Cove this week. Perfect weather and I flew with 5 folks from the RAPCAN convention...they all fell in love with our great airplane. How lucky we are, here in Canada, to have the freedom to fly to places without bloody Homeland Security poking their noses into that freedom.

You got that right, Dave. I was at Brown's Seaplane Base yesterday when a squadron of TSA types stormed in for an audit. Brown fired back with buckets full of paper. It was amusing to see the bureaucrats drowning in massive piles of worthless paper of their own making!

Is that a pole at the end of the runway? Need a chainsaw?

Aw, Dennis, he claims that's not a runway. I've been tempted to prove him wrong--but you can see the shadows of the trees that the camera is under, and just past them is the whole Lake Ontario Aerodrome, so it seems much more sensible (if less fun) just to taxi down the ramp.

I've been tempted too Dennis. The big maple casting the shadow is also a minor obstruction to my path into the water. Lynn threatens to use the chain saw on certain parts of my anatomy if I ever touch that tree with so much as a whitteling knife.

Dave King and his Storch could do touch and goes.

    Hi Brian...how are you folks??
No, that was my original workshop...the storage bays and hangar are further up the hill....COME and visit !!

G'day Dave ...... you have the perfect set up it seems .... one day I hope to drop in to see it for real. Rob

Rob...you don't know how much Lynn and I would like to see you here. The flight I did with you out of Bankstown still ranks as a highlight in my SeaRey memories.

Gorgeous Dave, you (and we) are indeed lucky.

I might note tho, even as a fellow critic of Homeland Security and TSA, that I haven't heard about any hijackings
recently.
