Description:
The Marriott Resort in Provo was not conducive to an early departure. It was just too nice to leave.
On day three of Peli’s return the great thing was that I was in no hurry. The weather shown on the computer couldn’t have been nicer: blue skies, light winds, no worries. It couldn’t get any better for crossing the Big Rocks.
Well, there was a cautionary note about afternoon thunderstorms on the east side of the Rockies, but that was far in the future for an 0h-930 departure. And, of, course there were some warnings about restricted areas due to fires. Who can’t see afar from an airplane? What, me worry?
Well, maybe a little worry was warranted. Where is that pass? This side of the mountain or the other? What the heck? Both sides have roads….
