Description: Native Americans believed the river and hills had healing properties. Could be, because the water contains calcium and magnesium sulfates dissolved from the gypsum and dolomite. Before antibiotics, magnesium sulfate (packaged as “Epsom Salts”) was used to draw out infections. I remember my grandmother breaking out the salts for various injuries out on the farm.
