Description:
The Blue Mountain Reservoir was perfectly positioned between Mount Magazine and the Ouachita Mountains for a nice splashing break. Mount Magazine is the highest mountain in Arkansas at 2753’ asl.
“Too bad we missed the Butterfly Festival on Mount Magazine.”
“Yeah. Right. I’m so sorry about that.”
“Well, you should be. Three quarters of the butterfly species in Arkansas can be found on the mountain, including the rare Diana Fritillary.”
“You’re making that up. It’s probably one of your old girlfriends. I’ll bet Diana Fritillary was the homecoming queen that dumped you at the prom.”
“Not. Dianas are unusual butterflies. Instead of laying their eggs in plants, they scatter them around the plants.”
“I didn’t need to know that. It sounds like a case of your evolutionary de-selection.”
“Well, wouldn’t it be nice to see them before they’re gone.”
“Oh, well, unfortunately the wind has put us way behind schedule. The butterflies will just have to try to hang on. Peli has a date with an adoptive prospect.”
“Fine. That means no time for splashing either.”
“TouchU.”
