Description:
“Don’t look now, but this would be no place to have an engine problem.”
“Why?”
“Look at those piney woods! It would be no fun to land there without a parachute. This could be the prickly situation the porcupine was warning about back at Skagit.”
“Ha! The trees are all planted in rows. It’s a simple matter of landing between the rows. Anyway, have some faith in Peli.”
“In case you can’t see it, Sherlock, there is no more than 6’ between those hard tree trunks.”
“No doubt. But, pine trees are really limber. If Peli were to take a nap, I’d just line up with a row and let it down real gentle like between those saplings.”
“You go ahead. I’m ordering a parachute.”
“Fine. Lose thirty pounds first. You do know there is a Dairy Queen blizzard between here and home, don’t you?”
“Okay, just make sure you don’t miss the row and hit the trees head on.”
