Description: My Searey is ready to fly but I need some transition training first. But the weather was too nice not to go flying. Minnesota doesn't have many days like yesterday this late in the year. So I went flying with the Kadet Sr. on floats. This is one airplane that I don't need a seaplane rating to fly off the water.

OK Bruno, I will take your advice. It is amazing how much heavy wet snow weighs. Almost makes you want to move to Flordia. The flying was great yesterday, no wind and warm (for Minnesota). I did some touch and go's and 5 full stop landings, this plane really flys nice. It has a .7 ci four stroke engine and is built very light for it's size. I have to get my flying in some how.

    Cool!
Makes me wanna pull out all my old RCs.
Here's a pic of my Sig somethin extra on floats.
Everyone at the lake had pretty, scale planes. I had the aerobatic model of no real thing on cheap plastic floats.
But guess who had the most fun? Attachments:

Very nice Tony, I wonder how many Searey owners started out flying R/C airplanes?

I dunno Tom, only you, Dennis and I fessed up to being ultralighters first. But yes, I was into RC before that.

One of my favorites was this little 35 dollar Foam electric GWS thing. I used to keep it in my car and just chuck it out at any little open field I could find. I've flown it in my street around the trees and wires!

See it here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFOqG5a-kyE

I had been building RC planes for years. Someone once said, 'Just make them bigger so you can get in.' So I did!

I still have all the stuff collecting dust in the basement. Last time I touched it was in '94. I need to find some kid who's interestd in resurrecting them.

So that's why you fly your Searey inverted so much!!...
