    I will keep an eye out for the right conditions of snow and air temperature. Very little snow stays on this beach for long, as it faces and tilts toward the sun. 40&#186;F (5&#186;C) has been my lower limit for water ops on Tahoe to hopefully prevent things from freezing up while climbing up about 2500 feet and back out of the Tahoe basin. Tahoe is such a large solar heat sink that its temperature stays about 39&#186;F (4C) below the seasonal surfaces changes.
