Snow Birds?

Description: It is winter, but this is Florida! We don’t need no stinkin’ snow! We have birds to color our trees. (Actually, I’m told it is cold enough to snow tonight. I have little sympathy, being hunkered down in New Jersey right now.)

But back in early January I pulled 220WT out for what could be the last time for a long time. The faithful little plane is due for some tender loving care after all the abuse I’ve put her through. Her replacement was waiting in the hangar for the FAA paperwork to take off.

It was just too nice to put my old friend out to pasture without one last romp.

Hunkered down in New Jersey? What Exit?

I'm not native enough to know the exit yet, Frank, but I'm on the approach path to Teterboro next to the Giant's stadium. Sorry, Eric. I'll make amends when (if) I come up for air.

What does it say about New Jersey that you can locate any place with a single ordinate? No co- required.

I alwyas thought it interesting that the trip over the bridges or tunnels from NY to Jersey is free, but they charge you to go from Jersey to NY.

You have to pay to escape New Jersey!

OK, OK guys, I'd get my feelings hurt, but us boys from NJ buried them next to Jimmy Hoffa. However, I will point out that I lived in Northern NJ for most of my life and loved the quiet rural atmosphere. We had deer give birth in our back yard and within 1/2 mile of our house we saw black bear and fox, coyotes and other wildlife. And not all of them were dead by the highway. ; ) As for NYC, it's a nice place to visit but NJ is a great place to live (except for the weather and the seaplane laws).
