Description: I freely admit I know nothing about organizing an air show, but a low altitude turn from base to final to line up on the show runway would not be on my list.

    I thought this was odd too. They all were doing it and I guessed it was for some photo opportunity. Sometimes you should just say no.

    Here's my guess Jon, but only a guess. I think they were trying to keep the main/long runway open for operations, this required a close in pattern for the 'show runway' which was only a portion of the runway extending to the left in this view of the main runway.      Attachments:
