Description: The first flight of N2022P was anticlimactic. Everything worked. Nothing fell off. It flew normally and we both got back without mishap.

Paige also flew it. He wasn’t nearly as blasU as I was. There were flaps to adjust, trim to change, and a hundred little things to be done.

What worried me most was my ambivalence. 2022P is a heavy creature. It didn’t feel right. It just wasn’t the lithe and familiar WT.

Ever the pragmatist, Paige said, “Get over it. This is your new ride.”

Maybe. Maybe not.

Hey Dan. I live in Umatilla and go boating in the Chain of Lakes from Eustis. Is your Tajmahangar visible from the lake? I don't remember seeing any hangers on the Howey shores.

It is, on the far southern end of Lake Harris (Little Lake Harris to some), Thomas.

    Dan,
Is tha major part of Lake Harris off limits to you since its under the class D airspace or do you just contact the tower and go where you want?

It is the later, Tony. The Leesburg tower guys are incredibly tolerant of seaplanes. I'm guessing they are afraid of losing all their business if they weren't.

    Thanks,
My father lives right off of the lake in Leesburg and I was always curious about that.
