Ship & Tommy
Previous
Photo Info

Description: The James is usually a placid river near Tommy's place, but sometimes he's reminded that it's still a working waterway.

Here comes a worker, muscling its way up from the Atlantic, against the current and the tide.

Oh Oh; the last time we saw this scenario didn't you have to rescue your 'Rey from a Tsunami?

That was a sister ship to this one, Frank, and it was on an island farther upstream. (You can see that island in the final photo in this series. It's the longest island there--we call it 'Wake Island' now.) Fortunately, Tommy's beach is deep and the sand was damp, so I was able to taxi a good distance from the water, well away from the wake. And this time the wake was much smaller because the ship was light and it wasn't moving as fast. But I was a bit nervous, all the same.
