Description: Ramp at Furnace Creek airstrip (L06), Death Valley National Park. AVGAS available on ramp by call from house phone in pilot room by windsock. Chevron station about .8 mile walk, if you have gas cans and want MOGAS. The other airstrip in Death Valley is Stovepipe Wells (L09) and is about 12 miles northwest. From there a 5 mile hike to Mosaic Canyon is available for some scenic exercise. See weblink at: http://www.nps.gov/deva/planyourvisit/hiking.htm
