Description: Crossing the James River above the fall line and under Class B airspace, I had this view of Richmond and her many bridges. (Downstream of the rapids, Richmond is a seaport.)

One bridge even has a pedestrian bridge suspended underneath it, so that walkers and bicyclists can get to Belle Isle, now part of the city park system, but a POW camp during the Civil War.

Richmond is a city of bridges--spanning the river and the ages.
