Eric
Thanks for noticing. I just never look at the Dynon (93 mph) vs the steam gauge (85 mph). I've been trying to reset the weird settings that Dave L. had put in for just about everything else for his a/c. I'm having more problems with radios and haven't concentrated on solving this discrepancy. Anyway, it always seems the real speed is the lower one!

85 or 93 mph or 60.1 kts GPS speed--which is about 69 mph, which with the Dynon's 26 mph headwind is about 95 mph (which is what the Dynon indicates as the TAS)? Aiiii! My head!

Fortunately, on this site there's no need to get technical. We're up in a SeaRey: enjoy the ride!

Hi Lee:

I have been running the 560 for a few weeks now (Sarasota Avionics provided an excellent trade-in price on my 496). It is a remarkable box, and as you note, it provides amazing features.
Like you, I run it both on the road and in the air.

If one made a list of all the features one would like to have in a GPS receiver, I cannot think of any that were left out.

Best,
Larry

.

Larry
I've got to agree with you that Garmin has a winner with this box. I've got 195, 295 and Pilot III. The AERA is definitely the best.
What I am having a challenge with is connecting to the D10A and downloading track files. I'm trying to order an aviation power cable for the Dynon but I could buy another GPS for the $ they want.
Hey, how did I miss you again this year. I've been down to the Grand River near Caledonia, and could do this again...in the spring.
