Description: Roy Pinner’s Murphy Moose got its first taste of water today. It clearly made a spectacular splash. Roy reports it was easy. Yeah, easy. Three years of building and many more of good piloting, that makes it easy.

    moose or rebel??

Moose. Rebel doesn't go well, phonetically speaking, with Murphy. As for the real model, I don't know. I thought Roy said 'Moose,' so I'm sticking with it. (But, Roy does go good with 'Rebel', so I could change, but I won't, because I'm just plane lazy.)

I asked, Roy, Daniel. He says, 'It's not a Moose and it's not a Rebel. It's a Rebel Elite.' He explained that Murphy extended the fuselage and made other mod's to produce a better seaplane. Either way, it's phonetically challenging. Maybe we can agree to refer to it simply as Roy's MRE.

ah, i see. What you explained was exactly what I was pondering...'looks like a rebel, but looks like the fueselage of a moose'...Thanks for confirming. My dad was looking to buy a moose kit back in the day. We can call it the 'Rooble'
