Description: Sometimes you just have to give up control in the interest of progress. To save a little time, I decided to cut through Valdosta airspace.

The Controlled SeaRey Time (CoST) lead to future anxiety: the controller couldn’t pick up my transponder. I had to have a working transponder to get across the border (it’s the law that all terrorists entering or leaving the country must have a working transponders and I’m sure they wouldn’t dare not). Now I couldn’t be sure I could legally get to Canada within the scheduled window.

Future anxiety can easily be overcome by immediate needs. Lunchtime is a critical time for SeaRey operations. Though premature in flight planning time, it was half past lunch time when I stopped at Adel, GA.

The main thing about Adel is that it is a short hike to several lunch places. It could have been accomplished a bit quicker if I hadn’t had to climb the security fence just to get some food. (I’m sure a terrorist wouldn’t think of doing the same thing?)

Full of fuel and food, the SeaRey and I continued our plodding path northward. It wasn’t long before we passed over some of the now forbidden water (stupid missing prop tape afflicted).

Organic surfactants swirling in the brown water below the Lake Blackshear Dam were an irresistible attraction, resulting in a few moments of SeaRey Deviation Time (“SeDT”).

Dan, you seem to be implying that the SeaRey Tool Kit (SaToK) should include some 3M Tape (TaPE).

I don't know about no fancy 3M TaPE, but DUCK tape could be nice.

Don't tell Dan, but if he had looked in the orange box behind him he would have found replacement tape.

    I'm confused.
