Description:
The end of the day’s plane affair was in sight. Lake Erie loomed on the horizon. It was too late in the day to consider crossing the border, so I set down outside of Toledo (TDZ) to end the day’s last fling after another 1.7 hours in the air.
Adding up my time sheet for the day yielded a goodly sum of 9.6 flight hours, but not so much for distance, with only 633 miles logged at 68 mph.
The time to the hotel was even worse. When you’re flying there are lots of things to see and think about. When you’re waiting for a cab to go to the hotel, twenty minutes seems like an hour (and when I checked the clock, it was indeed an hour…the cab driver got lost, a dubious claim for your typical cab driver, but in this case, based on my short observation during the 10 minute ride to the hotel, I believe it).
