Description: It was getting a bit dark for glassy-water landings, and Dan had been flying for about twenty straight hours that day, so we did a low pass by the house on the river and headed for KFCI.

What a great setup you have, Don! Thanks for taking in a wayward SeaRey pilot for the night.

You're always welcome, Dan. Come back soon!

Everyone: there's enough beach for several SeaReys, and a ramp up onto the lawn should be ready in a few days.

WOW ! What a great place you and Carol have. Congrats...!

Did you get that slope armored, Don? We'll need some i-reports as the suicidal tsunami waves battle that sublime shoreline. We just can't get enough from all the news and weather channels! Cinematic suggestion: wear a rain suit, stagger in the wind and have Carroll spray you with the sprinkler for added effect.

Wouldn't this be the time for a 'short takeoff' video? Perchance an 'engine out takeoff'?

Dan, one of our sons, Jon, and I worked at it for two days--and then horrorcane Earl didn't come after all. No tsunamis, no storm surge. Heavy dew on the grass this morning and clear skies by afternoon.
