Description:
The air was clear and smooth and cool (38F) when I set out for W29 (Bay Bridge Airport) and Helen Woods' SeaRey kit unveiling ceremony.
My route was northeast from KFCI over downtown Richmond and across the Chickahominy, the Pamunkey, the Mattaponi, the Rappahannock, and the Potomac, and then north up the Chesapeake Bay to Bay Bridge.
For Hallowe'en, the Science Museum of Virginia temporarily converted the Grand Kugel (an eight-foot granite sphere representing Earth) into a giant eyeball. They left Moon (upper left) alone.
