Hi Bruno:

You latitude is closer to the north pole than is mine, so you probably have much better 'winter operations' ideas than I do. That said, here are items that have worked well for me when winter turns oil into syrup. (g)

- Oddyssey battery. By far the best battery I have ever tested. It is particularly good in winter.
- Silicone heater pads. These are inexpensive, come in all sizes and power outputs and can be glued to any surface with liquid RTV. I use two.... one under the battery and one glued to the bottom of the sump. Wire them in parallel and secure the 110 v plug where is is east to access. I plug mine in half an hour before I start the engine.
- Thermostats I messed around with 'in-line' thermostats while working up a decent cockpit heater and found then to be very efficient. I am installing 'In-line' thermostats on both the oil and coolant circuits on my new A-24.

Best,
Larry
