Great wide-angle shot, Dan! Makes SuRi look like a cartoon ship out of a Popeye cartoon or maybe 'Darkwing Duck.'

It does look rather menacing, don't it? The crew call it the 'beast'. It is a burly beast (twin 1400 hp diesels, proven in 50' seas). The other boat, Jemasa, is known as the 'B***** Boat.' (Not that I agree...I'm just saying what they say.)

Last night at the Wet Mongoose Bar & Grill I had a conversation with the local yacht concierge, Don. She said the world’s largest sail yacht, the Athena, was present when the Suri docked. Athena’s captain told the concierge that Suri was the ugliest yacht he had ever seen. After a tour of Suri and a look at all her toys, however, Athena’s captain was heard to exclaim that he was ready for a transfer. Function over form, eh? Attachments:

True, it's bigger than our house, but only 13 knots faster.
Tsk! Pity the poor nouveau riche.

Not this time, Dennis. Paige bumped me out of my berth. We're having to stay at a crummy land based resort and commute to the boat by SeaRey.

She was invited! She's holding out for something involving less sand and water.

Do you call this work Dan? Can you ask the boss if you can borrow his rey to slip over to
Sydney on your day off?

Dan Nickens - Nov 13,2010 Viewers | Reply
Ha! There's just no appreciation for all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes, mate. For example, last night we stayed on board, had a gourmet dinner with the boss, but then I had to share quarters with Paige. Now that's work.

As for Sydney, I'm thinking we can work that out. How far is it from Tasmania? That's where the boat will be Christmas.
