Fuji S6000FD, with a non-removable 28-300mm (35mm equivalent) lens, so there is never any dust on the image.

Another great shot, John. I had to look twice to figure out those apparent crests floating above the cloud layer. N48? Isn't that an FAA number?

The CJ recently departed the N48CJ, which is my N-number. The vinyl numbers don't stick very well to the float's plastic.

Does the FAA offer some 'latitude' on the N-numbers like that, or is this a more direct northerly reference?

Lee, I think the FAA reserves the two-digit registration numbers for <br />itself and maybe a few other guv'mint entities. Don't remember for <br />sure, though.

Wow! fantastic shot John! I flew the RV8 over same area back in July. It is impressive to see a Searey there. Rugged country..... I think I rather be in the Searey if the engine quit.
