Description: Suva is the capital of Fiji and some of the crew hail from there. The city’s reputation is steamy, as in very hot and humid. It wasn’t the prettiest place. It was, however, one of the two places that Charles Kingford Smith landed his airplane, The Southern Cross, in the first trans-Pacific crossing from the U.S. to Australia.

Suva is covered by controlled airspace. There is a training area near the harbor and a prohibited area around the Prime Minister’s house. It was easy to avoid the bad air by just following the coast.
