Description: So when the water around here gets too hard to splash, we enjoy a little more indoor aviating. As you can see from my windsock at Grant's Field International, it is ski time for the Citabria and rest time for Sea Reys and other Amphibs. Yesterday, local aviator and collector, Ross Robinson, held an open house in his spotless and toasty warm hangar at St Andrews Airport (YAV) to share his Harvard, Douglas A26 Bomber and his fairly newly minted round engine Murphy Moose on Amphibs. (all of which are flown regularly). Also present were three of his restored vintage British cars. Nothing draws aviators around here together on a cold snowy day better than cool planes, a warm hangar, hot coffee and fresh donuts!
