Sure, Matt, fly it over here this afternoon! The RVR is a good 500 feet and the water temp, at least 33 F.      Attachments:

What looks like it might be the far shore is actually just the end of the visual range, some 500 feet through -SN BR FZFG. The river is about 1.5 miles across here.

You know the Canadian guys are laughing at us. To them this is just a little dusting.

What would I give to have a front seat to a runway or a lake like you have there. Even with the weather, we up here in the North deal with. When you're not flying, you can sit and watch others doing what you enjoy. Doesn't get any better that. Phil, you guys just have it too easy down South.

It is fun living on the strip. There are 3 lots still for sale if anyone is interested. The taxes are cheap and you can build up to a 10,000 square foot hanger. The strip is 3200X100 ft.<br /><br />You never know what may land on the strip. Sometimes the military uses it.<br /><br />These guys pointed their guns right at my house. I came outside and yelled out 'I paid my taxes'. They got a kick out of that. Then I invited some friends over for a barbecue and a show.      Attachments:

We decided to round up the boys and girls and go for an argo tour today.<br />Tons of fun in the snow<br /> (somebody tell Martha that she can't ride with a pitcher of cocktails in her hand)<br />My one friend's wife has a beaver on her head.....things are a little backwards up here I guess.      Attachments:

Dave, just wait till you get a little older and you'll have a DVD of snow to watch in a warm place. Hard to even tell it's Martha in photo #1, but what's wrong with a picture of cocktails?<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or &gt; missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->

Dave,<br />I love the Argo. I had a Scrambler a few years ago. We just don't have enough snow down here. But when it did snow, it was a blast. Those things can go anywhere. I guess this group are partial to amphibians.

Well, it's good to see that there are others also 'enjoying' that white stuff and hard seaplane landing surfaces... But honestly, anyone who is short of snow can come and pick some if you like...      Attachments:

Markku, I can't believe your Jr. team lost to Russia, very unlucky. Let's hope we can beat those Russians tonight! (Sorry USA..hehehehe)

Unlycky or not, but our team has lost to almoust all teams this year... But your team Canada has winned so many times and many years in many competitions that it starts to be almoust boring Anyhow, hope that you beat that Russian team in the end.

Martha holds her liquor well!<br /><br />Matt did two perfect glassy-water landings at our place yesterday. I'd have videos of them, except that I was slogging around in neoprene waders, carrying a handheld radio (with a dead battery). The water was absolutely smooth and 35 degrees F.
