I had a Aventura for several years and glassy water landings were a little easier than my Searey. The Aventura had a double concave hull which seemed to provide a cushon of air between the hull and the glassy water, touch down was very soft and smooth. I also had a big easy to see VSI in the Aventura compared to the small hard to see VSI in my Seareys Dynon. Maybe it was just the big VSI in the Aventura that made it easier and not the hull or a little of both.
