Description: This is a repost of a few years ago. It was a plowed runway on a lake for a skiplane fly-in. With the huge amount of snow we've had this winter, I doubt if they'll do this this year. That's me in my Stingray, someone snapped this pic as I was taxiing in.

    Actually it was a perfect winter day for flying. It was mild-ish (in the 40's), and not a breath of wind. Those two planes set up for a low fly-by pass....I remember seeing them buzz over me. I just didn't know someone snapped this pic until he sent it to me later.

    That day the ice was not slippery, it handled like on firm ground.
