    G'day JD ..... PTQ is looking absolutely splendid. Than paint job must have taken forever!<br /><br />You seem to have a lot of negative set on your flaps. Does this help your top speed much?

    Hm. I'd been told by many people that retroflexing the flaps increased airspeed, so I set them that way and flew it for several years before getting around to testing the theory. Then I took out the negative and got a positive increase in cruising speed.

    I think Don is right. I should take out the negative so I can catch Dennis..<br />Oh, and the paint was measured in pounds. (About 50!)

    Chris, I got the idea from some gorgeous stars and stripes painted SeaReys. Originally I got an idea from Rob to do an aboriginal (Canadian west coast Haida) theme of totem type Orcas, eagles bears etc. but the boss shot it down.. Maybe #3…
