David tell us a story about the wrecks
David Geers - Sep 14,2011 Viewers | Reply
Jim I was thinking of making up a good story e.g. There was a dark stormy night, a storm was brewing, suddenly a flash of lightning.... And that's about enough, here is a real story.

Two kilometres north of Tangalooma Resort are the Tangalooma Wrecks. The wrecks consist of 15 hulks, which were scuttled by the Department of Harbours and Marine to provide an anchorage haven. The first vessel was sunk in 1963 and the scuttling of dredges and barges continued until 1984. Today, the wrecks provide a great habitat for a diversity of marine life, making the Tangalooma Wrecks a great spot for snorkeling and SCUBA diving.

How do you get all these girls into your SeaRey??

I love stories about Tangalooma.
My parents owned a house in Sydney called 'Tangalooma'. It was built for the first owner of the Tangalooma Whaling Station, exactly where you are.
I lived there from age 12 to about 24.
I would have prefered your stories not the 'official' ones as you seem to be having much more fun.

I will get there one day.
BTW
On the Front door was a knocker, a cast of a four masted ship, with the inscription......

'One ship sails east and another west
on the self same winds that blow,
t'is the set of the sails and not the gales
that show us the way to go,'

ANON (as far as I know)
More than 40 years later, I still quote that at appropriate times.

Jim it's like the old bull and young bull story. One at a time!
It's a shame I had to sell the boat to buy the SeaRey. I now have the best of both worlds a boat and the plane.

Great placement of the GoPro. Is it the standard lens, or the wide angle?
David Myers - Sep 15,2011 Viewers | Reply
the standard gopro lens is the wide angle

David Geers

Thanks for the link. What a great place to fly. All I see in Texas are beached Rednecks.
They can be entertaining but not nearly scenic as the sunken ships :-)

We sell GoPro cameras at work and as far as I know they only come with the wide-angle lens. The picture above is actually video which I paused and use the Windows snipping tool to capture the image. Yes I know it's cheating.
