    This is a fascinating picture to me. We had a 24 foot tide a couple days ago here in <br />Southeast Alaska. The tide came up and down 24 feet in a 6 hour period. But this doesn’t <br />seem to be returning quite as quickly and it looks like much more than 24 feet.<br /><br />Where is this and what is going on?<br />

    Don, this is lake Travis in Austin Texas. The lake is down about 50 <br />feet and some projections estimate <br />the drought to continue through 2020

    Hey guys I live on Lake Austin....we do have water..as a constant level lake it's Always full .<br />So come on down the waters fine.

    Thanks Dan, I googled lake Travis and I see a big dam at the lower end. It looks to me <br />like it is a political decision to have the lake level that low. Aren't politics great!
