That was my first VFR into IMC moment. Blindingly bright white sky with wispy clouds over water. Then no horizon and water & sky became one.

I had flown an ATR into ACK a couple days before Kennedy's mishap on one of my last ATR flights before transitioning to the EMB-145.We did the circle to land off the eastern tip of the island and my FO got vertigo. Kinda chilling to listen to the videotape I had been making of the flight and hear my FO lose it. It's one reason I decided to put a Skyview in my 'Rey since I'll be doing a bit of night flying around Puget Sound.
