Bizarre, Wayne! It looks exotic in your photo, so I tried GoogleMaps' street view on it, and it looks very different there.<br /><br />It makes me think (somewhat perversely) of Peñíscola, Spain, which is also at the end of a road out into the water (although not as long as this one). Carol and I spent Semana Santa there one spring. It was then a fishing village on a rock that once was an island. The men would sail out before dawn and the women to wash and cook and sometimes mend nets. You can see Peñíscola in GoogleMaps, too.

Good observation,Don. This little island is made up mostly of retirees...many mobile homes. I landed there in my old Buc and tried to pulled up with wheels on the shore..got stuck...got out...the muck was up to my knees!
