Dan, how does that boat do with a following sea?

I don't know, Don. They always ship me off when the going gets rough.

It’s quiet before the guests get up. When the sun is well overhead the deck is a beehive of activity. That will be fun. Having a quiet time to contemplate the coming day makes it all the better. Attachments:

You can park a massive boat in the national park, but not a little seaplane? Seriously? Yep. Es de law, Senor. Yeah, well, it’s the same the world over. Irrationality Rules! Attachments:

    Or a water taxi.

One encounter with bureaucracy was enough for the day. Instead of bludgeoning my way through the Los Cabos controlled airspace, I took the long route back Cabo San Lucas via going north before turning west and then south. A two hour flight instead of thirty minutes. Perfect. Attachments:

Another good excuse for going north along the Mar de Cortes was to look for Capt. Edward’s beachfront cottage. Could this be it? Naw, too far south. Attachments:

The 'Red Rocks ' guard the northern entrance to Punta
Colorada. There is a ATV trail the other side of the block
house which we use to get down the coast.

When this was being built a couple of years ago, we all
thought it was an airport terminal.
It was designed by the same architect who did the Westin
Hotel...shown in your Party Place photo. Our land looks down
on this place....just south of La Ribera.

This spectacular place is on the road to Punta
Pescadero....about 4 kms north of the town of Los
Barriles.........and 10 kms north of where we winter. The dirt
road is the secondary highway leading to La Paz and is
closed every year due to rock slides. Just part of the
adventure.......and Frank....they have an enclosed elevator.

Getting ready for the approaching new year was cause for celebratory flight. Nearby, not everyone was up for flying. It’s a worry for the airport’s owner. He has planted cactus along the road to town to keep airport visitors from having to see it on their ride to town. He didn’t say if he had a plan to hide it from the air. Attachments:

The Westin Hotel is situated on ' the corridor ' between Cabo
and San Jose del Cabo.
Like most places along that part of the coast, swimming is not
great due to the rip
currents and surf. Not as bad as the Pacific side, but still
treacherous. The pools get a lot of use.
