Description: Departing SeaRey Central: Adam called to explain that the Lady in Gray, Pia Romeo, was in need of an escort to Garner’s Landing. “You mean Whiskey Tango got all washed up for nothing?” Yes, that’s what it meant. And to add to the agony, there was “La Rampa del Diablo” (as elegantly identified by Richard) to descend.

Not all ramps are evil. There’s no way to fall off of this one! With a welcome like this from Joe Friend, what could go wrong? Nothing? Oh, no. It's a SeaRey thing. Attachments:

Nicely parked, or so it seemed, until a swarm of flying attack monkeys blew in on gale winds to hijack her! Attachments:

Adam approached me. “The Seaplane Pilots Association wants to get a cover photo of the yellow and blue airplane. Do you know who owns it?”

“That would be a great plane to shoot. It belongs to Richard.”

“Will you ask him if Kerry can fly it to get a picture?”

Richard D. was just a few shade trees away. He readily agreed. Now all I had to do was find Kerry.

“Adam wants you to fly Richard’s airplane for the photo shoot.” You don’t have to ask Kerry to fly.

A few minutes later Kerry walked past us towards the lake. I was standing with Richard waiting to give him the keys. “Are you ready to launch for the photo shoot?” I asked.

“Sure, I’m going now.”

“But Richard’s airplane is up the hill?”

“No, they want me to fly Richard’s airplane,” he said, pointing towards Richard B.’s plane.

“That’s not what Adam talked about. He wants an airplane with a lot of contrasting colors.”

“Well, they told me to fly Richard’s plane.”

So Richard D. spoke up. “I think they’re talking about my airplane.”

“No,” Kerry said with conviction, “Adam and Steve are waiting by Richard’s airplane. That’s the one they want.”

Richard looked at me and we both shrugged. “Fine. Whatever.”

And, Kerry got in with his passenger, started the motor, and headed off into the lake.

A worried looking Richard B. hurried past. “That’s my plane!” he exclaimed.

“Sure. Kerry’s taking it for the photo shoot. Didn’t he tell you?”

“No! No one told me!”

“Uh, well, er, hum, so, is it okay?”

“Well sure, but it is disconcerting to see my plane leaving without me.”
Attachments:

Nice work Dan you got some great shots. I told Richard he's part of the Searey family now so if he leaves his plane sitting around with the keys in it the kids might take it for a spin.

You are so right, Russ. Kerry has his own private key to Puff, but when I overnight cross-
country, my key is gonna be in my pocket!

(Thank you Dan for these great photos, and for daring to tell the story!)
