In order to release the blimp from the mooring tower, a crew memeber had to climb the mooring pole and 'pull the pin'. They had to power up the engines to unload the pin so it could be pulled.

After being released from the mooring tower, the crew divided into 3 groups and with one group on the gondola and the other two groups on the two nose lines, they walked the blimp to the runway for departure.
