Description: A few views of local industries and attractions as seen from a SeaRey on a lovely late June day.

This hi-tech boathouse belongs jointly to Virginia Commonwealth University's Rice Center and the state Fish and Game Department. It's across the river from Shangri-la-di-da. You can see part of the main Rice Center building through the trees, on the left.

A grad student who's studying marine fauna recently tagged two sturgeons near here. The smaller one was only 8 feet long; the longer, 9 feet (almost 3 m).
