Description: Climbed to contact Navy Base...I requested transition at 500 or below...'how much below?...8 ...8 what?....8 ft...chuckle ...contact us abeam of tower...cleared to KEYW...I had to climb at end of Navy runways...Key West is only 2.2 miles further...
