Description: This past week Progressive Aerodyne launched the latest of the soon-to-be certified Light Sport prototype. With Kerry at the controls, it was not the typical initial test flight. He put the airplane through a Kerry type routine. Airplane and test pilot both performed flawlessly.

    The new prototype incorporates all the latest and greatest improvements. It also shows off new features that may or may not be improvements. The panel includes a giant screen TV that will take a degree in computer engineering to master (or an “Advanced” Flight Systems AF-5000). The manual is several inches thick. When I asked Kerry about the display, his reply: “I don’t know. I wasn’t looking at it.” Now that’s a real airman right there.      Attachments:
