If this is a model, it has the tail number that FAA says is a '46 J3. Why the tail wheel?

It looks too perfect to be a real plane, also the square thingy in front of
the water rudder is a give away. I have a 40 size float cub hanging up
in my hanger. I don't fly it much as it is way harder to fly than my
Searey.

-tailwheel mount
-door latch
-screw attaching cowling (barely visible)
-weeds in water are disproportionate to size of full size Cub.

Beautiful model.

OK you guys are right. It is an almost 8Foot wingspan model Cub with a 26cc weed whip 2stroke motor for power and seven servos.

And the reflection by the water shows the engine hidden by the wing

Very nice, looks like maybe 1/4 scale. After having to climb a tree to
retrieve my float cub and several other incidents, I now stick with flying
my electric sky surfer over the lake and landing it in the back yard.
