Looks lovely in your photo, Wayne. But satellite photos and maps show a lot of unnaturally straight lines down there. But, then, it's nice of the Corpse of Engineers to build all those seaplane runways.

But on this SW side, there are some bends, just enough to pick and choose for those of us that like alighting into the wind--as in today for example. Winds were 180 to 210 10 gusts 16. Found a very nice spot.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or > missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->

Frank, did you base your flying out of Everglades X01? That looks like a perfect spot to fly over the areas you describe, plus easily within range fo Key West....

Bob, I've not had my SR down to X01 but Wayne has. The 10,000 Islands are there but my understanding is that the Park Service bans seaplanes in the Everglades Park. Wayne may or may not wish to comment about that.<!-- >'"><br><font color=red size=6>' or > missing in user HTML. Please fix the HTML.</font> -->

the Caloosahatchee River is north... should have looked better at the description.. but X01 seems to have a chain of lakes ... within a national park by looking at the sectional... oh well....
